Abstract

The article substantiates the necessity to develop the multicultural competence of future social workers so they could execute efficiently their professional activities. The authors present the results of the survey, involving students majoring in social work, concerning their preparedness for this kind of activity in a multiethnic society. The paper considers spiritual and moral qualities and psychological characteristics of a future social worker, which should be developed in the process of the multicultural competence formation.

В статье обосновывается необходимость формирования мультикультурной компетенции специалистов по социальной работе в целях эффективного выполнения профессиональной деятельности. Приводятся результаты опроса студентов факультета социальной работы о степени их подготовленности к данному виду деятельности в условиях многонационального общества. Названы духовно-нравственные качества и психологические особенности личности будущего социального работника, которые должны воспитываться в процессе формирования мультикультурной компетенции.
