Volterra

Volterra

Abstract

For the Volterra (in the sense of A.N. Tikhonov) mappings in metric spaces of functions [a, b] → Rn the definitions of covering and conditional covering on a fixed element for t ∈ [t1, t2] ⊂ [a, b]. are presented. The considered concepts are used for studying nonlinear Volterra equations unsolved for the unknown function. The statements on existence and continuation of solutions are proved.
