New approaches to management of national research HEIs (Higher Educational Institutions) are reflected in the Article. The main provisions of the forementioned approaches are: the transition from the existing vertically integrated management structure, ineffective in the conditions of innovative activities, to the horizontal structure of HEI management which is more productive in such conditions; evaluation indicators of HEI priorities depending on the current market situation; a variative approach to the HEI management; possible direction of cost saving in HEIs.

В статье отражены новые подходы в управлении национальным исследовательским вузом, которые предлагают: переход от сложившейся вертикально-интегрированной структуры управления, неэффективной в условиях инновационной деятельности, к горизонтальной структуре управления вузом более продуктивной в условиях творческой деятельности; оценочные показатели приоритетов вуза в зависимости от конъюнктуры рынка; вариативный подход в управлении вузом; направления сокращения издержек в вузе.
