Abstract

The article examines the features of female education in early 20th century among Russian Muslims. The social processes of that time favoured active women's drawing into social relations. This fact predetermined the development in the field of female education. In many big cities of the Russian Empire with Muslim population special schools for girls were opened, particular attention was paid to foreign experience. The authors of the articles of Shoura magazine suggested solving social problems in the field of gender relationship mainly through the development of the educational system.
