Abstract

The paper considers properties and specificity of pursuing spore-and-pollen and paleosoil investigations at archaeological sites. Subject to analysis being possibilities using these methods for reconstruction of landscape and climatic conditions, specification of environmental characteristics, level of anthropogenic load, temporal tracing of changes in the system of land use, checking a stratigraphic and planigraphic situation, and substantiating sites dating. The article quotes working methods and algorithm of an independent sampling at archaeological sites.
