Abstract

The article advances the hypothesis that the saints are the best educational ideal for the contemporary senior pupils taking into account their age and socio-cultural conditions. It describes characteristics of an educational ideal and shows an example how it was implemented in practice in the schools, namely St. Petersburg cadet rocketartillery corps. The article presents the results which demonstrate the positive dynamics of approaching the saints as an educational ideal, and draws a conclusion, which indicates its advantages in education of the senior pupils and learning vitally important senses.
