Abstract

Food safety is one of the key problems in Russia’s national safety system. The article considers agricultural policy as a part of the state economic policy in agriculture and agribusiness aimed at providing food safety and maintaining the resource potential of the agro industrial complex. The food safety level is assessed by the same criteria as food self-sufficiency of a country, economic and physical availability of food.
