Abstract

Reduction of plant community diversity causes the functional rearrangements in soil fauna composition. The results of the experiment show that mature stages of communities appear to be more favourable for plant development with concurrent increase of plant covering diversity. As a result communities with low level of plant diversity are more susceptible to action of phytohelminths as while in communities with high specific plant diversity saprobiotic nematodes predominate which promote more active development of plants in biogeocenosis.
