Abstract

Purpose. The research is aimed to represent an analysis of the problem of intergenerational communications in the context of regional (the region of Middle Volga) and ethnic culture (the Tatars, Mordovians, Chuvash, Russians), on the basis of the identification codes and symbols presented in kids’ graphic text. Methodology. The kids’ drawings sent by the pupils of art schools for the participation in the competition festival «The World Round Us» (Syzran, 2001-2013) and the competition «Industry of Culture» (PVGUS underwent, to Tolyatti, 2013-2015 gg.) were analyzed and interpreted. Some tools of the content analysis are used for quantitative characteristics of observed plots in kids’ drawings. The methodology of the conducted research is based on the principles of communicative approach. Results. The drawings testify about kids’ understanding of the multilayered relations between the seniors and younger family members, also about indisputable authority of the seniors (grandfather, father, mother, the elder brother), and prove positive accept of historical experience of the ethnos, the generation, and understand the value of intergenerational dialogue. Practical implications. The received results can be applied in sociological and cultu-rological researches, form theoretical base for the organization of educational work.
