Abstract

The article deals with the problem of creating a universal context of foreign language education. The issue is relevant primarily in the University on the linguistic faculty. Without its solution it is impossible to prepare the original subject of dialogue of cultures a spiritual, moral and intellectual personality skillfully using all types of speech activity as means of communication. The search for solutions to the problem is part of the “Concept of foreign language education: development of individuality in the dialogue of cultures”. The concept is designed by the Lipetsk methodological school, the representative of which the author is. For the first time, the necessity of creating a universal context is substantiated. As means for its creation a strategy of overcoming the eurocentrism and philologization of the process of foreign-language education is offered. In this context, the mediating role of the studied foreign language is explicated. The author describes methodological bases of the problem: the role of methodological principles in the hierarchical system of the principles of foreign-language education, interrelation of the purpose, contents and context of foreign-language education, and also interrelation and inter-conditionality of all the levels of its contents. Functions and qualitative characteristics of the universal context are defined that allows to present its methodical definition. Advantages of use of the universal context for foreign-language education are shown.

В статье поднимается проблема создания универсального контекста иноязычного образования, актуальная, в первую очередь, для этого процесса в вузе на языковом факультете. Без ее решения невозможно подготовить подлинного субъекта диалога культур человека духовного: нравственного, интеллектуального и умело пользующегося всеми видами речевой деятельности как средствами общения. Поиск путей решения проблемы осуществляется в рамках «Концепции иноязычного образования: развитие индивидуальности в диалоге культур», разрабатываемой Липецкой методической школой, представителем которой автор является. Впервые обосновывается необходимость создания универсального контекста. В качестве инструментов его создания предлогаются стратегия преодоления евроцентризма и филологизация процесса иноязычного образования. В данной связи эксплицируется посредническая роль изучаемого иностранного языка. Автор описывает методологические основания проблемы: роль методологических принципов в иерархизированной системе принципов иноязычного образования, взаимосвязь цели, содержания и контекста иноязычного образования, а также взаимосвязь и взаимообусловленность всех уровней его содержания. Определяются функции и качественные характеристики универсального контекста, что позволяет предложить его методическое определение. Показываются преимущества использования универсального контекста для целей иноязычного образования.
