In the article the authors analyze the problems of the countryside school connected with the change of the society and economical changes. The authors point out that absence of the strategic project of development of the Russian countryside resulted in loss of the education quality. From the analysis of the experimental procedure of the countryside school system reorganization follows that there is no sense to look for one sure-fire way for the countryside school problem solution. Considering the economic, social and geographic features of the Chelyabinsk region, The South Ural educational service monitoring centre under the Magnitogorsk State University provides the model of the countryside school system optimization.

Анализируется ряд проблем сельской школы, связанных с трансформацией общества и экономики. Отмечается, что отсутствие четкого стратегического плана развития российской деревни привело, в конечном итоге, к снижению качества образования. Анализ материалов о ходе эксперимента по реструктуризации сети школ в регионах позволяет сделать вывод о том, что в условиях России не имеет смысла искать единственно верный способ решения проблем сельской школы. С учетом экономических и социо-географических особенностей Челябинской области Южно-Уральским Центром мониторинга системы образования при МаГУ представлена модель оптимизации сети сельских школ.
