Abstract

This article deals with forming the professional communicative competence of students-journalists. The author suggests organising classes within the module system. The first module comprises topics characterising the professional activities of journalists. The aim of the second module is to broaden the mind of future journalists. The integral part of the professional preparation of journalists within the second module is linguistic and cross-cultural reading as deep, multi-levelled interpretation of "cultural meanings" and existentialist perceptions which is necessary for specialists to help them to solve their professionally communicative tasks.
