Abstract

Methodical provision of continuity of formation of vital competences in children in aspects of cognition of the surrounding reality in the framework of project activities is considered in the article. Knowledge and experience accumulated by the previous age stage of development, when complete picture of traditions, culture, history, peculiarities of life of the people of the native land is formed through familiarity with the works of folk arts and crafts, should be considered in elementary school. These age stages are described as beginning of formation of personality traits that are associated with the child's society, people, country. Native language, folk culture (music, various artifacts) and folk traditions, native birthplace are the sources of this process.
