The article is devoted to the development of the various levels of the educational system in Norway, from school to university. To describe the trends and forms of the Norwegian education and its place in the world educational policy, we take training of financial workers and economists, conforming to the world standards, as an example. In addition, features of the scientific and research activities conducted in Norway as well as of international cooperation in the sphere of education and research are examined.
