Abstract

Рассматриваются актуальные вопросы двух взаимосвязанных процессов: усиление глобализации современного общества и тенденции формирования культурного разнообразия. Информатизация - также одна из причин совершенствования и обновления мультикультурной деятельности библиотек в культурном пространстве России. Библиотека, как один из важнейших институтов общества, способствует формированию основ толерантного мышления, плюралистического видения, воспитания межнационального общения, организации обслуживания полиэтнического населения. Мультикультурная деятельность библиотек направлена на решение вопросов взаимопонимания, создания комфортной психологической обстановки и возможности взаимопонимания представителей этнических сообществ

The article deals with current issues of two interrelated processes: increasing globalization of modern society and the trends shaping cultural diversity. Computerization is also one of the reasons for the improvement and renovation of multicultural library activities in the cultural space of Russia. Library as one of the major institutions of society contributes to laying the foundations of tolerant thinking, pluralistic vision of education of international communication, organization of service -ethnic population. Multicultural activities of libraries aimed at addressing issues of mutual understanding, creating comfortable environment and possibility of psychological understanding of ethnic communities
