Abstract

The effect of succonic-acid potassium at the dose of 0.125 g/kg body weight in combination with Riboflavin 2.5 mg and Vikasolum at the dose of 0.3 g per head daily, when fed to pigs in the state of post-natal physiological immaturity, on their safety, growth, fattening and meat quality has been studied. It is shown that the use of these vitamins in feeding animals provides them with a way out of the state of postnatal immaturity on the 18th 21st day and increases their safety at 39.70% and their body weight at the period of growing at 42.80%. At the age of 222 days the indices of nutritional value of pork are 92.37-115.6%, as compared with such meat indices in physiologically mature piglets. This pork meat is estimated as that of the second grade, having good biological value. At the age of 222 days, the indicators of nutritional value of meat of piglets, that got out of the state of postnatal immaturity spontaneously, constitute 94.67-95.48% of the same meat values of animals that have went out from the state of immaturity due to being fed the above preparations. Such pork is estimated as tallow pork of the third grade and it has low biological value.
