The article is devoted to the study of the social image of the studentship of Petrograd / Leningrad University in the first years of the Soviet power. Based on the university statistics an attempt was undertaken to determine the number and social class of the students in the period under consideration as well as to identify their change depending on the government policy. Special attention was paid to economic and living conditions of the students.

Предпринята попытка, опираясь на данные университетской статистики, определить численный и сословный состав студентов Петроградского / Ленинградского университета в рассматриваемый период, выявить их изменение в зависимости от правительственной политики. Особое внимание уделено рассмотрению материально-бытового положения студентов.
