Abstract

A newspaper article has made a tangible contribution to foreign language teaching. Abounding in stylistic devices, the newspaper text has been both a source of new words and a subject for interpretation. By teaching the students to understand words and word combinations with expressive component, we facilitate the in-depth understanding of a newspaper discourse.
