The article is devoted to the content of the interactionbetween a speech therapist and a family in the formation of communicative skills in 6-8-year-old children with moderate or severe mental retardation. The stages of the formation of pedagogical literacy of 6-8-year-oldchildren's parents with moderate or severe mentalretardation are described; the aims and tasks at eachstage are identified; the content and the form of the work at all stages are determined, the evaluation criteria of effectiveness of each stage are given.

В статье представлено содержание взаимодействия логопеда и семьи в работе по формированию коммуникативных умений у детей 6-8-летнего возраста с умеренной и тяжёлой степенью умственной отсталости. Выделены этапы формирования педагогической грамотности родителей детей 6-8 лет с умеренной и тяжёлой умственной отсталостью; сформулированы цели и задачи, решаемые на каждом этапе; определены содержание и формы работы на всех этапах; выделены критерии оценки эффективности прохождения каждого этапа.
