Abstract

In the article the author considers Higher Public Schools (HPS) as a social and pedagogical phenomenon observable in practice. The presented educational model ways of developing within Russian educational system are determined. The article examines its humanitarian content and high potential to accomplish this educational model. The HPS for elderly people established in Russia are in the focus. This enables to emphasize the basic organization models of HPS activity, as well as to determine features and perspectives of their developing in modern Russia as an area for elderly people social self-realization

В статье исследуется высшая народная школа (далее ВНШ) как социально-педагогический феномен, наблюдаемый в реальной практике. Определяются пути развития данной образовательной модели в российском образовательном пространстве. В статье исследуются ее гуманистическое содержание и высокий жизнетворческий потенциал. В фокусе внимания находятся народные школы для пожилых людей, созданные в России. Это позволяет выделить основные модели организации деятельности ВНШ, определить особенности и перспективы их развития в современной России как пространства социальной самореализации пожилого человека.
