Abstract

The article emphasizes the importance of studying interdisciplinary aspects of formation of the authoritarian personality. The authors analyze the ontological, episte-mological and axiological direction of the stated problem. The authors’ attention is directed to the peculiarities of the formation of the authoritarian personality in adolescence, as this age is characterized by self-development, professional and personal self-determination. The study conducted by the authors at the beginning and at the end of 2013-2014 academic years, involved 250 first year students of Orenburg State Medical Academy, with special attention directed to student leaders. The following methods were used: a conversation test questionnaire of A. Bass A. Darky; diagnostics of leadership abilities (E. Zharikov, E. Krushelnitsky); test of A. Assinger and others. Comparative analysis of the primary and re-diagnosis showed decreased high-level of aggression from 20% to 9%, and rates of low-level aggression changed from 16% to 26%. Youth aggressiveness can lead to increased conflicts, which mobilize aggression, forming an authoritarian personality.
