Abstract

The attitude towards the use of tests in the system of knowledge control and assessment causes contrary opinions among students and teachers. The research objective, in which 90 medical students were surveyed, was to study students’ attitude towards testing within the system of their knowledge control and assessment in a higher medical educational institution for defining the direction of work aimed at increasing the efficiency of the learning process. It appears that a more serious attitude towards daily learning process as the basis of successful preparation for midterm assessment, which includes the procedure of testing, should be formed in students within the course of teaching.
