Abstract

The article is devoted to problems of preservation and use of the achievements of Soviet historians of philosophy in the field of the study of religious-philosophical and materialistic views of Hobbes, Locke, and Toland. The author carried out the interpretation of the materials of a leading Soviet magazine «Scientific reports of higher school. Philosophical science» associated with the comprehension of these views. Identified key assessments of these views are given by the researchers in the journal. It is suggested that identified assessments of religious-philosophical and materialistic views of Hobbes, Locke and Toland embodied the quintessence belonging to Soviet historians of philosophy assessments of these views.
