Abstract

This article discusses the problems of perception of foreign prisoners of war of the post-war socialist reality. The author concludes that the prisoners of war education in the socialist system took place with great difficulty and constantly ran into confusion, covert resistance, and often in open confrontation. Some success in the political education of political departments was achieved only by the end of 1948, when the most of the West Siberian camps were able mainly to cope with difficult economic situation, implement complex of measures to address the important issues of life support of involuntary contingent social and tune-up the mechanisms of social production.
