The article provides an overview of the main forms and directions, and objective conditions of internationalization of higher education. It describes potential opportunities and threats of Universities in conditions of the globalization of educational space. It makes the conclusion about the necessity of developing a University strategy that takes into account the objective and the inevitability of further internationalization of the educational process

В статье сделан обзор основных форм и направлений, а также объективных предпосылок интернационализации высшего образования. Изучены потенциальные возможности и опасности, возникающие у национальных ВУЗов в процессе глобализации образовательного пространства. Сделан вывод о необходимости разработки ВУЗом стратегии, учитывающей объективность и неизбежность дальнейшей интернационализации процесса образования
