Степень выраженности и анализ взаимосвязи абстрактно-логического и социального видов интеллекта у школьников

Abstract

The article presents the results of empirical research of interrelation of social intelligence with abstract-logical intelligence and examination productivity of senior pupils (from the 10th and the 11th year) in the quantity of 109 persons. The research objective is measurement of the level of expression of abstract and social intelligence of senior pupils and the analysis of interrelation of intellectual indicators. We used the modified version of assessment Questionnaire "Assessment of an Optimum Choice in a Conflict Situation'' (by S. Shcherbakov) for evaluation of social intelligence. We also applied the modified (by B. Koichu) version of test "Progressive matrixes by J. Raven'' for the diagnosis of the abstract-logical. The results of GIA of mathematics were considered by us as an indicator of examination productivity. During the empirical research it was revealed that the modified "Assessment of an Optimum Choice in a Conflict Situation" test can be used for evaluation of the level of senior pupils' social intelligence expression. It could be judged about the level of expression of social intelligence by the high rates of two strategy "compromise" and "cooperation", or by the low values of strategy "fight", "leaving", "concession", "address to the intermediary" and "tactics of a stinging reply". During the study in the senior years the young man and young woman prefer to use constructive strategy for resolving interpersonal problems compromise and cooperation. This choice promotes social and psychological adaptation of young people to new conditions of the higher school, where they should be more independent and initiative. During the empirical research the psychological facts that indicate the insignificant role of social intelligence in achievement of high examination results in mathematics were revealed. High productivity of abstract-logical intelligence is a condition of achievement of a high score in examination tasks on mathematics. Senior pupils who show high productivity of the solution of tasks by Raven (high abstract-logical intelligence) are inclined to use the strategy of ''leaving'' in the interpersonal conflict situations. The obtained data can be used in two directions. Firstly, it is the possible to forecast the results of Unified State Examination for pupils, which, undoubtedly, is very important for them and their parents, and also it is possible to forecast the features of relationship between pupils and other people in conflict situations. Secondly, the obtained data can be used for increasing the communicative and academic success of pupils, the data can be considered by working out training programs aimed at the development of communicative skills, abilities to interact with other people and at development of abstract intelligence.
