Abstract

This article discusses the various theories and concepts to explain the origin and persistence of international labour migration. Theories of initiation of international labour migration and theories of perpetuation of international migration are highlighted. The theories of international labour migration are considered at the macro and micro levels. These theories of labour migration are based on the different concepts and proposals, although each theory seeks to explain the causes of international labour migration. The research of different theoretical approaches and foundations show that currently there isn’t one general theory of international labour migration.
