Abstract

The article presents a historiographic analysis of the scientific literature on history of mutual relations between the government and Soviet peasantry in 1945-1985. This problem is one of the most actual in present-day historical science. Researches by Russian and foreign authors cover such prominent aspects as Soviet agrarian policy, material and technical basis of agricultural production, demographic characteristics, taxation, everyday life and culture of Soviet peasants. At the same time, the author emphasizes that not all the aspects of the problem have got proper attention in historiography.
