Abstract

On the basis of the analysis of a wide range of historical works and archival materials the problem of theft of public property in the post-war collective farms is viewed. According to the author, in the analyzed period, the peasantry was aware of the vitality of the existing collective farm system and instead of passive resistance tactics has adopted a strategy of active adaptation. One manifestation of this strategy is the theft of collective property, as long as theft of state property rural society was not regarded as an absolute evil.
