The article is devoted to the ethnic and religious situation in the Volga Federal District, which is one of the most multicultural and multi-confessional regions. The multicultural nature of the region is confirmed by the quantity of the registered there religious organizations and by the pressure of significant migration flows from the CIS. Problems of the interethnic peace and harmony here are one of the basic directions of the inner policy. Despite traditions and experience of interreligious and interethnic peace, harmony and cooperation, the region faces a number of problems in the ethnic and religious context that is requiring the scientific analysis.

Статья посвящена рассмотрению этноконфессиональной ситуации в Приволжском федеральном округе одном из самых многонациональных и многоконфессиональных по составу населения и числу зарегистрированных здесь религиозных организаций в России, испытывающем на себе давление значительных миграционных потоков из стран СНГ. Вопросы межнационального мира и согласия являются здесь одним из базовых направлений внутренней политики. Несмотря на многовековые традиции и опыт межконфессионального и межнационального мира, согласия и взаимодействия, округ столкнулся с целым рядом проблем на этноконфессиональной почве, которые требуют научного анализа.
