The article discusses the role of libraries in the creation of comfortable conditions for users to obtain information and presents the experience of forming a poly-functional educational environment on the example of information library center of V. Ya. Kikotya Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. An important part of the information society is the educational system as one of its primary objectives should be the development of information personality and fluent in the technologies of transformation of information seeking in the information flows, aware of the nature of information processes.

В статье рассматривается роль библиотеки в создании комфортных условий пользователям для оперативного получения информации. Приведен опыт формирования полифункциональной информационно-образовательной среды на примере информационно-библиотечного центра Московского университета МВД России имени В. Я. Кикотя. Важной частью информационного общества является образовательная система, так как одной из ее первостепенных задач должно быть формирование информационной личности, свободно владеющей технологиями преобразования информации, ориентирующейся в информационных потоках, осознающей сущность информационных процессов.
