Abstract

Volunteering of young people is the subject of social studies and attracts the attention of practitioners. This is largely due to the social potential of this activity. The author regards volunteering as emotional labor, in which assumed that volunteers manage their feelings, for creation of public presentation of volunteer activity. Within the framework of special training for sport volunteers was conducted a survey among students, in which was identified the prevalence of positive emotions in volunteers’ experience. These emotions are preferred and they define the further attitude to volunteering. Control of negative emotions is achieved through personal characteristics of volunteers and their special training. We assume, that the experience of volunteering and special training contributes to the formation of volunteers’ emotional culture, which determines the quality of work. Key words: volunteering, emotions, emotional labor, special training of volunteers.
