Abstract

In his exclusive interview to our journal the director of Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law at Stanford University Francis Fukuyama explains his famous idea about “the end of history” and its relevance toward contemporary situation. Analyzing contemporary political processes, Francis Fukuyama stresses the current competition of democratic and non-democratic forms of governance and underlines the role of Ukraine as a country, where this competition is especially intensive. So, the results of the overcoming of Ukrainian crisis would be crucial for further development of world civilization. Francis Fukuyama also shares his vision of current situation in social sciences and humanities and their role in university life of the 21st century
