Abstract

The article gives reasons for the relevance of the multicultural education of a younger generation under the contemporary Russian conditions. Particular characteristics, main point, aim and tasks of multicultural elementary-school age children education have been determined. It opens up foreign and national conceptions of multicultural education. Folk music, with its specific features, exemplifies the highest human values. Being multifunctional, it undertakes the most important educational and pedagogical tasks and one of these tasks is multicultural education of a younger generation. The article considers the essence of folk music education as the most important element of students’ education; it underlines the importance of forming an ethnic tolerance among elementary-school age children, it remarks an ability to communicate inter-ethnically and cross-culturally with the help of ethnic musical means. It considers the conditions on effective problem solving of multicultural secondary-school age children education by the means of folk music culture. It suggests forms and methods of conducting multicultural education for students within class and out of class assignments.

В статье обосновывается актуальность поликультурного воспитания подрастающего поколения в условиях современной России. Выявлена специфика, сущность, цель и задачи поликультурного воспитания младших школьников. Раскрываются зарубежные и отечественные концепции поликультурного образования. Народное музыкальное искусство, имея свою специфику, воплощает высшие общечеловеческие ценности. Будучи многофункциональным, оно решает важнейшие образовательные и воспитательные задачи, одной из которых является поликультурное воспитание подрастающего поколения. В связи с этим определяется сущность этномузыкального образования как важнейшего компонента поликультурного воспитания учащихся, отмечается важность формирования у младших школьников этнотолерантности, способности к межэтническому и межкультурному общению этномузыкальными средствами. Рассматриваются условия эффективности решения задач поликультурного воспитания младших школьников средствами народной музыкальной культуры. Предлагаются формы и методы организации поликультурного воспитания обучающихся в учебной и внеучебной работе.
