Гуманистическая направленность обучения иностранным языкам в истории отечественного гимназического образования

Abstract

В данной статье раскрывается состояние обучения иностранным языкам в отечественной гимназии. Отмечается, что одной из основных тенденций развития предмета «иностранные языки» стала их культурологическая направленность, зачастую даже превалирующая над функцией практического владения языком. Учебные планы, программы и учебники по древним и новым языкам предоставляли широкие возможности учащимся ознакомиться с литературой стран изучаемых языков и извлечь максимум полезной информации для расширения и формирования общего кругозора.

This article tells about situation of foreign language teaching in Russian gymnasia. The main feature of development of school subject foreign languages is cultural direction which plays more important role than foreign languages learning skills. Foreign languages textbooks and curricular had a lot of opportunities to learn literature of foreign countries, to form scope and skill.
