The article deals with the questions of studying soil dams of the Irkutsk hydroelectric power station by means of the complex of geophysical methods. Observations have been carried out during the period of 11 years (from 2002 to 2013). Analysis was given to the velocities of seismic waves (both dilatational, and transversal), specific electric resistance and natural potential in their body. Research results allowed to identify the weakened zones of soil dams that were considered in further work. As a whole, the condition of soil dams of the Irkutsk hydroelectric power station is characterized as stable.
