The article is devoted to describing the value concepts «patriotism», «tolerance» and «empathy» which have entered the contemporary paradigm of spiritual and moral education. In the interdisciplinary research combining linguistic and pedagogical sciences the problem of pedagogy aimed at determining the contents of value concepts is solved by applying the linguistic method of cognitive semantic analysis on the basis of considering the definitions of various Russian and English explanatory dictionaries. Using explanatory dictionaries is accounted for by the fact that their explanatory texts contain the descriptions of prototype semantics of the analyzed value concepts. As far as contents are concerned the concepts under review have been known to and represented in the Russian language consciousness since ancient times by the virtue words of native origin «ljubov´ k Rodine» (love to Motherland), «terpimost» (tolerance) and «sostradanie» (compassion). Using the foreign borrowings «патриотизм» (patriotism), «толерантность» (toleranсe) and «эмпатия» (empathy) for naming the value concepts accounts for the fact that there exists a stable tendency for terminology words to get universalized as scientific knowledge is becoming more internationalized.

Статья посвящена описанию ценностных концептов «патриотизм», «толерантность» и «эмпатия», входящих в структуру современной парадигмы духовно-нравственного воспитания. В интердисциплинарном исследовании, выполненном на стыке лингвистики и педагогики, педагогическая задача определения содержания ценностных концептов решается путем использования лингвистического метода когнитивно-семантического анализа и обобщения дефиниций разных толковых словарей русского и английского языков. Обращение к толковым словарям обусловлено тем, что их словарные статьи содержат описания прототипической семантики анализируемых ценностных концептов. В содержательном аспекте рассматриваемые концепты в русском языковом сознании представлены с древних времен добродетелями «любовь к Родине», «терпимость» и «сострадание». Использование в качестве номинантов концептов иноязычных заимствований «патриотизм», «толерантность» и «эмпатия» свидетельствует о тенденции универсализации терминологических слов в условиях интернационализации научных знаний.
