Abstract

Educational problems in Kazakhstan related to the country’s accession to the Common European Education Space are viewed. Advantages and background of this integration are described: the establishment of homogeneous educational cycles (Bachelor and Master’s degree programs, PhD programs), educational credits, creation of a decentralized mechanism of accreditation of educational institutions and programs. The role of a competence-based model of a specialist training and appropriate modifications in State Educational Standard of Higher Professional Education is highlighted. Programs and methodologies focused on an accelerated development of information technologies (specialists training on a high modern level; cheap access to the Internet) are described.
