Abstract

The scope of professional interests of the author comprises a comparative and collating study of European languages (French, Spanish, Italian, English, German as second foreign languages) as well as computer-aided foreign language teaching. This article is devoted to the situation in the field of the second foreign language teaching in Russia at school. Informative reading is proposed as one of the ways of optimizing teaching. The proposed methodological approach is based on the graphemic, morphological and structural conformities (clues), with the help of which one can switch from one language to any other cognate language (informative reading level). This system is intended for efficient training in reading an original foreign language text.
