The article focuses on the problem of teaching strategies for reading professional literature in foreign languages. Making a research into the processes of learning to read in a foreign language, as well as such aspects as teaching vocabulary, and professional terminology, the author comes to a conclusion, that teaching professional literature reading facilitates the development of professional competence of future specialists.

Статья посвящена проблеме обучения чтению иноязычной профессиональной литературы. Автор, исследуя процессы овладения иноязычным чтением, а также, такие аспекты как обучение лексике, профессиональной терминологии, приходит к выводу о том, что обучение чтению профессионально ориентированной литературы способствует формированию профессиональной компетентности будущих специалистов.
