Abstract

One of priority directions of contemporary educational strategies — lifelong learning — is based on understanding how important informal education (self-education) is to formation of certain sociality types. The basis of the analysis of informal educational structures within radical politicized solidarities was formed by the empirical data received in the course of a study of a solidary anarchist association in St. Petersburg which was carried out by the Centre for Youth Research of the National Research University «Higher School of Economics» as part of the international project MYPLACE — Memory, Youth, Political Legacy and Civic Engagement. The authors show in which way the informal education system is connected with everyday practices of activists, how it is organized structurally and how it agrees with the group’s worldviews and political attitudes.
