Abstract

We reviewed the geographic distribution of centers of archaeological cultures, the formation of statehood, forays, and armed actions in the Caucasus region as well as centers of poetry in the Caucasus. On the example of mountain peoples, we have shown an impact of unknown geological factor acting in areas of disjunctive geological structures on various aspects of human activity, as well as the influence on this one of seismicity, geomagnetic field and solar activity. We focused on the North Caucasus, and have compared different types of activity of the population of Dagestan, Chechnya, and North and South Ossetia in its projections on geotectonic maps. As a result we have been able to show the localization of highest activation zones in the region. Thus, South Ossetia, that is the area of the most intense, frequent and long armed actions is located in the largest tectonic node of the Caucasus — at the intersection of two major lineament structures Caucasus region. These lineaments are Taman-Apsheron and Agrahano-Levantine megalineament zones. In addition, here are located both global lineament 44° East with the attendant system of less significant meridianal lineaments / faults and Central-Caucasian right shifts’ deformations concentration zone. Regions next by the degree of intensity and frequency of armed action (plains Chechnya, Guria, mountainous Chechnya, and Avariya) are also in the major tectonic nodes. These nodes are located where lineament zones and zones of major faults / lineaments cross with areas of right and left shifts deformations. In this case, on a large amount of data, we have shown that centers of ancient archaeological cultures and points of statehood always coincide, the centers of statehood and places of armed actions can be the same, while the birth center outstanding poets do not coincide with the centers of the armed conflicts.
