At the present time in the Russian Federation has established a legal framework that defines the main directions of work of educational organizations in the field of formation and strengthening of health of students and young learners, greatly increasing requirements for teachers of physical culture, as the organizers of sports and recreation activities in school. Among the main priorities of social and economic policy — dissemination of standards of a healthy lifestyle. An important contribution to the formation of a healthy way of life should contribute to the creation of conditions for physical culture and sports of various population groups. The all-Russian sports complex "Ready for labor and defense" (TRP) is a software and normative basis of the system of physical education of different population groups of the Russian Federation. The conduct of sports and recreation activities in the educational institution requires a new format for the preparation of teachers of physical culture.

В настоящее время, когда в Российской Федерации сформирована законодательная база, определяющая основные направления работы образовательной организации в области формирования и укрепления здоровья школьников и обучающейся молодежи, существенно повышаются требования, предъявляемые к учителям физической культуры как организаторам физкультурно-оздоровительной работы в школе. Среди основных приоритетов социальной и экономической политики — распространение стандартов здорового образа жизни. Важный вклад в формирование здорового образа жизни должно внести создание условий для занятий физической культурой и спортом различных групп населения. Всероссийский физкультурно-спортивный комплекс «Готов к труду и обороне» (ГТО) является программной и нормативной основой системы физического воспитания различных групп населения Российской Федерации. Проведение физкультурно-оздоровительной работы в образовательном учреждении требует нового формата подготовки учителей физической культуры.
