Abstract

Purpose. The research objective consists in identification of possibilities of mathematical modeling in formation of system of professional competences of graduates. Methodology. Methodological basis of research is the system analysis, allowing to open effective ways of structuring the content of training to the exact sciences in higher education institution and mastering by it in the course of mathematical modeling. Results of research are that approaches to improvement of educational technologies in higher education institution at the expense of application of structural and functional models are defined; the directions of integration of educational and research activity of students on the basis of mathematical modeling are allocated; principles of improvement of the educational technologies assuming use of methods of mathematical modeling in the course of studying of the exact sciences are designated; the methodological role of functional and structural models in the course of formation of subject competences is opened. Practical implications: training process in higher education institution.
