Abstract

The problems of the inflation role ambiguously determined in the innovation economy are examined in the article. The researchers give opposite viewpoints and create economic models which determine differently directed inflation effects on the innovation development. The positive role of the inflation is not excluded in case of destruction of technology backward industries. At the same time positions are substantiated according to which not only the inflation has an effect on the innovation activity but the innovations predetermine the history of inflationary developments. By this moment the common opinion determining how expansion of innovation activities will have effect on the inflation rate is absent. Two tendencies has been formulated which are expressed in an inflation reduction model and an inflation growth model in the innovation economy. The theoretical developed models are inapplicable in the Russian conditions because they do not take into account pendency of various institutional problems.
