Abstract

Word-formation does not only extend the vocabulary of the language itself and that of the students but also promotes the development of their mnemonic abilities. Thus, contemporary word-formation tendencies require special attention when German is taught as a second foreign language both theoretically and practically. The article considers several aspects of introducing word-formation in teaching materials.
