Abstract

Potential talent is a personal quality that is typical for the majority of children and teenagers. At the same time it is poorly studied and diagnosed. The following article presents the subject-directed approach in the research of potential talent. Its main idea is in the priority use of pedagogical methods and means of study of the product of pupils’ learning cognitive activity. This approach is more valid for the assessment of pupils’ future achievements as opposed to psychological tests of creativity. The possibility of adaptation of some psychological methods for talent diagnostics through the use of the content of school subjects has been considered.
