
The article presents the results of the survey of parents of the primary school children of some schools of Smolensk concerning the physical education and healthy lifestyle. The level of parents` theoretical and methodological knowledge about the physical education of junior schoolchildren was determined. The lack of knowledge on the following topics has been revealed: the means of physical education, the methods of control and self-control of one`s physical condition, cold training, physical qualities and motor abilities, physical development indicators. The complex of measures directed at the parents` formation of the knowledge and skills in the field of physical education has been offered.
В статье представлены результаты опроса родителей детей младшего школьного возраста отдельных школ г. Смоленска к физической культуре и здоровому образу жизни. Определен уровень теоретическо-методических знаний родителей о физическом воспитании младших школьников. Выявлен недостаточный уровень знаний по следующим темам: средства физического воспитания, методы контроля и самоконтроля физического состояния, закаливание, физические качества и двигательные способности, показатели физического развития. Предложен комплекс мероприятий, направленный на формирование знаний и умений родителей в области физического воспитания.
