Abstract

The problem of improving the political culture of the Soviet militia employees during the war period is analyzed in the article. During the entire period of the Great Patriotic War, the state ensured the high efficiency of the political culture in the society in general and the law enforcement bodies in particular, by implementing both value-orienting and educational functions. Being one of the priorities during the war period, the patriotic direction of the political and educational activities of the state contributed to raising the level of political consciousness, patriotism and responsibility of the personnel of the Soviet militia, as well as mobilization of the employees’ personal resources to perform their duties under difficult wartime conditions. Nowadays, the patriotic direction is still one of the priorities in the personnel, moral and psychological support of the activities of internal affairs bodies.
