The article discusses the history of creation of the Suvorov military and Nakhimov naval colleges. During the Soviet period these specialized average military schools by right occupied one of leading places in system of preparation of professional military shots. During the existence they passed a difficult and interesting way of development, having stored a work vast experience with pupils of various age. Thanks to well debugged work of pedagogical collectives, use of the advanced techniques in training and education of Suvorov Military School students many graduates of SVU achieved significant successes as on the military, and civil fields – reached general ranks, received scientific degrees, ranks, the state awards, gained recognition of the talents both at home, and abroad. The powerful contribution in achievement of these results was brought also by Academy of pedagogical sciences of RSFSR which 70 anniversary also is celebrated this year.

В статье рассмотрена история создания суворовских военных и нахимовских военно-морских училищ. Благодаря хорошо отлаженной работе педагогических коллективов, использованию передовых методик в обучении и воспитании суворовцев многие выпускники СВУ добились значимых успехов, как на военном, так и гражданском поприщах – достигли генеральских званий, удостоились ученых степеней, званий, государственных премий, получили признание своих талантов как у себя в стране, так и за рубежом. Весомую лепту в достижение этих результатов внесла и Академия педагогических наук РСФСР, 70-летие которой также отмечается в этом году.
